1. About Us

Drågen Smokehouse is a premium Norwegian smoked salmon producer selling direct to consumers across the United Kingdom.

Company No. 12345678. Registered in Norway.

By placing an order or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Our Products

All products are handcrafted in small batches at our smokehouse on Norway's west coast. Due to the artisan nature of our production, slight variations in weight, appearance and texture may occur between batches. This is a mark of genuine craft, not inconsistency.

Weights

Retail portions: approximately 250g (may vary slightly)
Whole sides: approximately 1kg on average

We reserve the right to make changes to our product range, descriptions and pricing at any time without prior notice.

3. Placing an Order

By placing an order on our website you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years of age
You are ordering for delivery within the United Kingdom
The personal and payment details you provide are accurate and complete

Once your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order — acceptance occurs when your order is dispatched.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, stock unavailability or suspected fraudulent activity.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

We accept the following payment methods:

Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
Apple Pay and Google Pay
PayPal

Payment is taken at the point of order. All transactions are processed securely via our payment provider. We do not store your full card details.

We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors on our website, even after an order has been placed. In such cases, we will contact you before processing.

5. Delivery

UK Nationwide Delivery We deliver across the United Kingdom using chilled, temperature-controlled packaging to maintain product freshness.

Next-day delivery is available on orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday
Delivery is not available on Sundays or Bank Holidays
Estimated delivery dates are provided at checkout and are not guaranteed

We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including weather, courier disruption or incorrect delivery information provided by the customer.

If your order arrives damaged or outside the safe temperature range, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.

6. Perishable Goods

All our products are perishable food items. Please ensure someone is available to receive your delivery. We cannot accept responsibility for products that deteriorate due to:

Failed delivery attempts where no one was available
Incorrect delivery addresses provided at checkout
Products left unrefrigerated after delivery

7. Returns & Refunds

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns of food items unless they are faulty, damaged or not as described.

If you have a problem with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery at hello@draagensmokehouse.com with your order number and photographic evidence where possible.

Where a valid claim is made, we will offer one of the following at our discretion:

A full or partial refund
A replacement order

Refunds will be processed within 5–10 working days to the original payment method.

For non-food items such as gift packaging or merchandise, our standard 14-day return policy applies. Items must be returned unused and in original condition.

8. Subscription Orders

Where subscription services are offered:

You may cancel your subscription at any time before the next scheduled dispatch
Cancellations made after dispatch cannot be applied to that order
We reserve the right to amend subscription pricing with a minimum of 30 days' notice

9. Gift Orders & Vouchers

Gift packaging and corporate orders are subject to the same delivery and returns terms as standard orders.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, photography, brand identity, product names and design — is the property of Drågen Smokehouse and may not be reproduced, copied or used without prior written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Drågen Smokehouse shall not be liable for:

Any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our website or products
Loss of data, revenue or profits
Any damage caused by events outside our reasonable control

Our total liability in any matter shall not exceed the value of the order in question.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
